We can recommend to make a walk in the small streets of Born and the Gotic - and also go to the bars and restaurants to have a drink in these places instead of the Rambla - much cheaper to have a drink here and here is so many different lovely small shops. You get a small beer at the Plaza St. Jaume for 4,10 EUR and a large beer for less than 4,10 EUR in a bar in one of the small sidewalks of Av. Portal de l'Angel.

Many lovely places in the city, but we really liked the spirit of the town in the old city - Born and the Gotic districts. The Park Güell is also a lovely space with a great view of Barcelona City.
Av. Portal de l'Angel and the sidewalks around this street are fantastic to do your shopping.

Going to the beach we recommend to pass through the Barceloneta district and choose one of beaches near the Olympic harbour, f.x. Platja Somorrosto. Here is much less people than at the beaches near the street called Pg. Joan de Borbo.
Take a walk in the Born and Gotic - and also take a walk at the Pg. Saint Joan and pg. Gracia - lovely places.

We did take a taxi from the airport to the accomodation and it cost about 30 EUR - but it was easy and safely. So we choose to take a taxi back to the airport as well - same price:-)It takes about 20 - 25 minutes.

If it is very important for people to visit the Sagrada Familia Church and get into the church and towers, then book tickets before going to Barcelona. If you are going to Barcelona for the first time - consider that you may get depended of the great spirit of the city, the weather and the beach:-)We are surely coming back to Barcelona and the accomodation at Canvis Vells 3 in Born!
