Why stay near Barcelona's Zoo?
Barcelona Zoo is located in the park of La Ciutadella. The easiest way to get there is to go to the park and follow the signs leading to the zoo. Apart from thousands of animals and hundreds of different species, the zoo has a restaurant, a picnic area, a shop, electric cars, ponies, and a mini-train making it an ideal day out for families and couples.
The area around the zoo is one of the most peaceful green areas of Barcelona and a nice spot to relax on the grass, read a book on a bench, take a ride with your bike, rent a rowboat on the lake, or simply have a stroll. You can also visit the Castle of the Three Dragons and take some pictures of the Parliament of Catalonia.
