The Fira de Montjuïc
The Fira de Barcelona is the joining of the most famous exhibition spaces in Europe and easily the most important ones in Spain. The two separate spaces that it consists of are the Fira de Montjuïc and the Fira de Gran Vía.
At the Fira de Montjuïc celebrates some of the most popular events in all of Europe, in both the professional and leisure sectors. The most important to take place in these halls are the Salón del Cómic (Comic Convention), Sónar de Día, the Harley Davidson Meet-up, Liber (International Professional Book Fair), Tattoo Expo, Salón del Manga (Manga Convention), Auto Retro, and the Festival de la Infancia (Children's festival), amongst many others. The Fira de Montjuïc has more than 92,000 m² of inside space and 42,000 m² of outside space. There are 6 separate buildings in the same area including the Palacio de Congresos de Barcelona which has 11 independent conference halls with a total capacity for up to 2,900 persons.

The Fira de Gran Vía
The other space is the Fira de Gran Vía, which is much more focused on some of the most important industry congresses at an international level. The most famous is the Mobile World Congress, but there is also Cosmo Belleza(beauty industry), Alimentaria (International Convention of Food and Beverages), Sónar de noche, Microsoft Convergence, City Innovation Summit, and many more. If you come to Barcelona to participate in one of these events at the Fira, look for an accommodation nearby to these two spaces. It's the most intelligent and economic option because you can arrive without stress and you won't have to use public transport, which can get congested in these areas when a popular event is on.
