A curious exhibition about Photobooks

The Photobook Phenomenon exhibition will take place in Barcelona from 17 March 2017 until 27 August 2017. Opening hours will be from Monday to Sunday, 11 AM - 8 PM at the Contemporary Culture Centre of Barcelona (known commonly as CCCB).

Photobooks by British photographer Martin Parr will be displayed

Photobook Phenomenon is about the importance and impact of photo books from their inception to the present day and in recent years a resurgence of Photo albums has become apparent. Every day we see more and more photo albums and photo book services in the stores. This is a turning point for houses and warehouses that have to adapt to this new trend.

For photographers, these albums are a new way to promote their work while at the same time provide a medium to explore new ideas and augment creativity.

The event will be run by both the Contemporary Culture Centre of Barcelona and the Fundación Foto Colectania (Photo Collection Foundation). Here you can admire works from Martin Parr, Gerry Badger, Markus Schaden, Ryuichi Kaneko, and many others.
