This huge festival dedicated to street art returns to Barcelona
On 9th and 10th May the Poblenou neighbourhood will host another year of Ús Barcelona, the largest graffiti convention in the city, promoted by the street artist platform Rebobinart alongside the Barcelona City Council.
Last year some 9000 people came to see how thirty artists from around the world painted the walls of the old Encants market.
In this edition, there the main event will take place on Carrer Pere IV between Carrer Fluvià and Carrer Selva de Mar, where beautiful street frescos will be made on walls, facades, and even on the floor!
Like last year, they will be urban artists from around the world, in addition to graphic artists, sculptors, illustrators, and more. Something new this year though will be the involvement of the neighbors. This year, above all, the locals and the curious will be encouraged to participate in the works through participatory artistic performances with national and international artists, workshops for adults and children, lectures, music, an art market, and dining areas, among other surprises!
